I graduated from Lancaster Bible College (Bachelor) and Evangelical Theological Seminary (MDiv), where I am currently a ThD student. After college my family and I served one year as church-planting missionaries in Kingston, Jamaica. I have served Faith Church since October 2002, first as youth/associate pastor, and then senior pastor since July 2008. My wife, Michelle, and I are the parents of three sons, one daughter, and one daughter-in-law. If you catch me in a free moment, I'll probably be watching my kids play soccer, reading a book, listening to U2 or REM, running with my dog, enjoying a movie with Michelle or rooting for the Phillies or Redskins (neither of which has been exciting lately)! More likely you'll find Michelle and I talking about God's heart for the oppressed and how we Americans can live the Gospel. We are so excited about how Faith Church is a church that beats after God's heart, removing the chains of injustice, freeing the captives, preaching the good news, feeding the poor, discipling the believers, praying for the world.
Emerald Peters Ministry Coordinator
Hello, all! My daughter, Emma, and I fell in love with this beautifully imperfect group of people at Faith Church a little over six years ago. It has been our privilege to both love deeply and feel deeply loved by other believers in our community. For me, these people represent those willing to wrestle with difficult topics, willing to stand along side you in the midst of trials, and willing to encourage you in your pain after the world has forgotten. As a person with a complex past, it is beyond refreshing to be surrounded by those who are not intimidated by messy realities. I'd love to see you around sometime and let's see what you think.

I have been at Faith Church for about 14 years establishing my faith in God all along the way. I grew up in a family of four boys with two loving parents that worked so hard for us! I accepted Christ as my savior in the fifth grade and can remember it to this day, God has blessed me abundantly! I married my wife Heather Martin in May 2016 after six years dating and love doing life with her! We bought my parents house in Bird-In-Hand and Heather moved in from a whopping 10 min away in Leola. We’re both homebodies and love spending time with our friends and family. After High School I enlisted in the Army National Guard and did six years training in a Reconnaissance Platoon which ended this January of 2016. In that time graduated from Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology majoring in Carpentry and worked commercial construction for two years at Wohlsen Construction. I left the commercial field for residential trim work where I now trim houses, install kitchen cabinets, and occasionally build decks. My goal is to open a custom woodshop at home. I love the outdoors; hunting/fishing, hiking, any and all sports, evening fires with friends and family and just messing around with projects at home. I chose to take on the YCMD position knowing how much it impacted my younger life and feeling a strong urge from the Lord to serve in this way. I aim to be a light for his Kingdom and live my life by example so that the Youth will see how beneficial following God is!
Jonathan & Nadja Ireland and family Custodian
We’ve been involved with Faith Church in some way or another it seems over the past 14 years we’ve lived here from MOPS, to pioneer club & VBS when the kids were younger. Faith Church sponsored our cub scout den where I was a leader for 4 years. It just seems our lives have in some way intertwined with Faith Church in some way or another over the years since we moved here. We’ve enjoyed attending Faith as our home church the past year. The cleaning of the church is something we strive to do well. It’s been a great life lesson for our children to band together and cooperate and learn the value of doing a job well even if no one else see’s what it is you’ve done. Working as unto the Lord. Doing it as an entire family has in a strange way brought us closer together. Cairis has told me she looks forward to Saturday night! Who would have thought?
Rachel Struve Worship Leader
I am from Eagle River, Alaska, where I have two loving parents and a great brother back home. I am senior in college pursuing a Worship Arts degree at Lancaster Bible College. I am passionate about nature, photography, discipleship, and of course, music. I was blessed to be homeschooled for most of my young life which gave my mother the opportunity to teach my brother and I God's Word every day. I have been singing, songwriting, and playing since I was a little girl. I love music in almost every capacity, and music in worship is a beautiful privilege. Since my arrival at Faith Church, I have been blessed by the intentionality and grace of the community and leadership. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn and worship with Faith Church.
